So, just saw "Pirates"

I thought that the plot was seriously lacking, and the movie was very predicable. Also what was with Kiera Knightly turning into a little skank there at the end, giving Sparrow that kiss? Seems a little shady when she was just about ready to marry Will. Any thoughts or comments on the movie?

Still, you can tell that it effected Will quite a bit, seeing his girl lock lips with someone other than him.

He was effected, cause he didn't know what she did. But, if she explained it to him, I am sure he would be willing to stick it in her again.

The movie sucked, the first one was much better. I agree with the OP on every account, very predictable, plot lacked, and add to that, the beginning of the movie was slow and dull.

I saw it at midnight and thought it was pretty decent. Yes it was predictable with lots of "Disney-quality" humor, but it was interesting enough that I was mad at the ending.

It got a bit tedious at times and it felt like the story was "lost" amongst the relentless special effects and action scenes.

My thoughts too, they could have hacked a good 30 minutes out of that movie and it still would have been good or better

If you notice when she holds the compass (the only that points you in the direction of what you really want), it points to Jack Sparrow.

He needed the heart to get Davy Jones to call off th Kraken.

After he got the heart, Davy had set the kraken back on Jack. The black mark had reappeared on Jack, he didn't want to destroy the heart until Davy had reeled the kraken back in.
