Falwell was admitted to Lynchburg General in "respiratory arrest." Family members told Moore that Falwell had been unconscious from five to seven minutes and had to be resuscitated by EMTs at the hospital emergency room.
http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory?id=626393

Speaking on Pat Robertson's 700 Club tv show, Falwell blamed the 9/11 terrorist attacks in NY & Wash DC on gays & pro-choicers:
"The abortionists have got to bear some burden for this because God will not be mocked. And when we destroy 40 million little innocent babies, we make God mad. I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People For the American Way, all of them who have tried to secularize America. I point the finger in their face and say 'you helped this happen'."

So, did the SOB check to make sure that none of the EMTs or hospital personnel who saved his sorry life were gay, feminist, or pro-choice?

Maybe he made God really mad... I'm sure the pro-choicers are to blame for it...i mean it's only logical that God take it out on him...:p

technically, karma doesnt really work that way.

this is a sad turn of events for him, regardless.
Well, an unpleasant event occurring to someone who is guilty of being prideful, arrogant, and a hypocrite? Works for me. ;)

It seems that at least Jerry Falwell did something with his life.

What have you done, except post here for 3 hours a day on how your favorite liberal wankers can't win elections?

The only thing he did was be another hypocrite preaching to the masses. And unfortunately, get some people to believe him.
He's gonna have a long time to think about it in hell.

Umh, Duh...Hell is just a mythical invention meant to satiate the ignorant.

As far as karma goes, he got rich and lived to 71 so far. Certainly kicked everyone's asses on this forum.

While I strongly disagree with his viewpoints, especially post 9/11, I can't help but get my usual dose of the giggles when I see all the peaceful tolerant liberals coming on to wish death on those they disagree with. I thought only evil republicans wished death on falsely accused terrorists and framed criminals.

71? That's pretty damn young. Esp. since the administration is considering raising the retirement age.

Falwell is an asshat. Plain and simple. Never trust those who need to broadcast their religious beliefs.

Shouldnt that be any beliefs rather than just religious?

To go a step further wouldnt you have to say that politics are the religion of most liberals?

I wish death on tons of people on both ends of the spectrum. I say we put Bill O Reilly in a knife fight with Michael Moore, and the winner gets a lifetime supply of cyanide (hint: not as much cyanide as it sounds like).

No, not necessarily.

That's not a step, that's a leap. Or do you think the right has a monopoly on being religious?

If you've ever seen victims of a fire, you wouldn't wish it on anyone, no matter what.

As for your second statement, I'd like proof :p

Standing above the crowd,
He had a voice that was strong and loud.
We'll miss him.
Ranting and pointing his finger
At everything but his heart.
We'll miss him.

No way to recall
What it was that you had said to me,
Like I care at all.

So loud.
You sure could yell.
You took a stand on every little thing
And so loud.

.....

You had alot to say.
You had alot of nothing to say.

Come down.
Get off your farkin cross.
We need the farkin space to nail the next fool martyr.

To ascend you must die.
You must be crucified
For your sins and your lies. [sic]
Goodbye...
