I know he has a sort of cult following by some around here, like me..and sadly enough I'm happy for him.

The first three weeks of Ford GT ownership were not happy. Its alarm went off constantly, the anti-theft tracker cried wolf every five minutes and the satellite navigation system caused the engine to think it might be a dishwasher of some kind. So I sent it away and demanded my money back.

This didn?t go down well with the readership of The Sunday Times. Every day my in-box was choked with more and more missives from angry people saying I?d been too rash, that I?d waited 40 years for this car and shouldn?t have given up because of some small electronic glitches.

You were right, of course, so I?m delighted to say that it?s back, sitting in my drive looking all blue and huge.

This is old... I read this article a few months ago.

Over the course of the last season he gave the car back to Ford (not for repairs either).

Wow. that's awesome how you read the article a few months ago when it was written/published on Oct 2nd......

Possible transferrence then?

I know I've read this somewhere else a LONG time ago, as a matter of fact I got it from a link from ATOT, after some searching nothing is coming up though because fusetalk is gimped.

Or maybe if you actually read the article, you would know the article wasn't really about the GT?

Ha, pwned twice, back to back.

lmao, that shut him up for good 🙂

Edit: Maybe after giving it back a first time, he got another?

He had a huge article a few months ago ranting and raving about the car and how he gave it back (watch last seaons TG)

he got it, it was immobilized and he talked about it on the show, then he returns the car to ford and ford gave him a diesel focus as loaner. he requests to return the car for a refund, but ford told him to think about it a little.

i guess he keeps the GT because

1) he loves the GT
2) it's a rare car.
3) he is rich enough to buy another car, such as the SLK55

i say screw the honda image and buy an S2000
