Coming to a total of about £1000 🙂 Any guesses on how well this puppy will overclock 😉😀 Or do you want me to find that out?

This is gonna be the new PC for when i move, but it will be for my mum and her bf to use, not me. But the bits are coming from the net on Monday, so i'll get a chance to set it up on Monday, then have til the end of the week running here, then set up and hopefully on 24/7 at my new house!

I'm definately gonna see how fast i can push this baby, and it's my first P4 rig (i've been with AMD for the past 3 years!) so i'm gonna have fun, and i'm sure i've got the best bits (given recommendations on MB from the MB forum here 😉)

Will keep you all updated on how it does, and of course some Seti WUs will be done for tweaking purposes 😉

I'm hoping for the simple O/C of putting the FSB to 133, and getting a 2.66GHz P4 for half the price.

However, i'm not gonna be getting my hopes up just yet 😉

If i can get 190 FSB on that board, that'll be a CPU speed of 3.8GHz, which i somehow doubt i'll be getting 😉 Unless of course someone suddenly figures out a way of unlocking the P4 😉😀

I wish I could figure out why my rig wont go past 160 fsb. I have the samsung pc2700 ram too, but I haven't tried going past 160 since I got a second stick of 256, suppose that would make a difference?

 
LyNx01, It's not the ram holding you back since it's rated at 166 MHZ. Plus, if ia'm saying this right, everything on my M\B Starts at 166\33 instead of 133\33 so it's much easier to get to a 190 or higher FSB.

Does that mean they are paying for it ???

And does that mean you have money to build another rig for yourself ???

Just got the order updated to a 2.4B, lower multiplier, so higher FSB o/c hopefully, plus more chance of maybe getting that elusive C1 stepping, tho I will just have to see 🙂

Yeah, they are paying for it, and we've got £300 from the sale of my old Athlon 1.0, KT7 system, so that may be added to, and another system bought, all depends on what i can get and at what costs 😉

Can't wait til it gets here on Monday 😀😀
