So I've gone a month without cable - and I'm alive!

I had my cable shut off because I don't use it enough to warrant the cost - and so far, so good I do miss watching Jay Leno and Conan - but I supposed I could get an antenna to get the local stations.

So far so good - although, I would like to get just news stations - esp. after Katrina.

I spend less than 15 dollars a month for basic cable. That's all I think it's worth.

Also havent had cable for a bit over a month, I just use the computer alot more. Always maxing out my bandwidth.

I've kept super-basic cable for the last five years because after the $10 multi-service discount, it's basically $4-5 to not have to use an antenna

yea cancelled cable here too. If only they had a la carte service. All i really need is espn, foodtv and my local fox sports net channel.

I get my cable for $13.34 a month and then split it with my downstairs neighbors. My cable costs $6.67 for extended basic (comedy central, mtv, spiketv, etc.). That's such a good deal even a filthy stingy pirate couldn't pass that up.

I thought I was going to miss my cable after I move to my new apartment. But for some reason, it already has basic cable connected. I'm not complaining
