Sounds like my normal days.

Every attempt I make to work is thwarted by the inefficiency and ineptitude of other co-workers.

So, I sit here until they can clean their crap up enough to pass it along to me so I can do my part with it.

I hear you. Been at work for 3 hours and spent about 15 minutes being productive Updated a couple web pages for my boss and helped a co-worker move a desk out of a downstairs office.

Wow, I don't feel so bad anymore. I've been here 4.5 hours and have gotten 2 hours of work done.

Plus I've been running 6 hour simulation in the background of my computer the whole time, but that doesn't count as real work since it only took a minute to set up. 😛

I can't get hired anywhere, so I'm just taking on a lot of piano students. Don't have much of a choice but to work when they come-you can't just space out or they get upset. 😉
