Wife is at the end of her pregnancy and the Doc said she wants to induce for various reasons...

Will be our third child but it will be our FIRST girl...

Already have to boys.

For some reason...today it is really hitting me that I am going to have a little girl!

I am so used to the rough and tough boys (3 1/2 and 2)...

Dad's and Mom's...what am I in for in regards to having a little girl?

Congrats to you and your wife
And congrats to your kids - They get the best of both worlds now. I only have 1 brother, but it's been an awesome experience

If my little cousin (6 now, known her since birth) is any indication, about the same rough and tough as the boys :p

And from what I've seen, she won't just be rough and tumbly, but she'll be the commander in charge of those boys.

Well she is going to be coming into a tough situation because the two boys fight like CATS & DOGS...

The ferocity and level of disdain that they have for each other during certain exchanges is funny yet scary at the same time...

I feel like I am watching MMA for a toy some days...

I hope they have the exact opposite feeling for their new sister and go into "PROTECT" mode vs. annoy and damage mode

I've got 2 boys and want a little girl but I'm afraid we'd have another boy so we (I) called it quits.

I laugh at this...because I was in your SAME boat and if it would have turned out to be another boy I probably wouldn't be able to write this post...as I would have been paralyzed from the neck down by my wife!

She just wants MOAR kids because she feels she is 'done'.

But she isn't the one that takes them to Microcenter where the younger one runs off and I ask him to come back and when he does come running back the older one tackles him into a shelf putting a nice knot in the side of his head and then having to ask the scarce saleman a question while holding a wailing 2YO.

Sorry about the rambling; congrats and good luck.

Been there with you...

Just yesterday I had the dubious task of taking them to swimming lessons by myself...

So Afterwards we are walking past the activity center and...

the eldest wanted to "play" on some video game and I said "NO...we have to go..." which quickly turned into a confrontation between me and him...

he starts screaming bloody murder "NOOOOOOO"...everyone was looking (which wasn't that big of a deal)...but none the less I couldn't reason with him at that point

The funny part to me was how he re-acted when I finally said to him

"alright...I am leaving I will see you later..." with no real intention of leaving him of course...

He LOST it...and attempted a "tiananmen square" move on me where he ran in front of me and stood there blocking my path...not letting me move forward.

It took everything I had not to laugh my ass off...

Eventually I got around him and he followed me to the car screaming the whole way...

My wife was rolling on the floor as I was telling her about it at home...

When I asked him about it he says..."I was Mad at you daddy...I didn't want to leave..."

So simple...it was cute!

HAHAHAHAHA. The situation's switched, so it might be different for you, but I have an older sister. I specifically remember annoying the shit out of her when I was younger and getting loads of satisfaction out of it. Good luck. :D
