I remember people in various places saying that if i replaced the HU in my Mazda3, the Nav voice would no longer work as it eminates from the HU.
When the nav voice plays, it dims the music in the front left speaker and plays the voice.
Well yesterday, while installing a spliter for my Aux Mod (Aux in), i had the headunit completely detached and tried out the nav voice... Worked like a charm...

So it must splice in somewhere later down the line... New HU, here i come! 🙂
