We're not on a normal schedule here. Its a quarters system, you go 5 years, the middle three are 6 months of class, 6 months of co-op. I'm in my 4th year, which means this is finals for the first of five straight terms from now till I graduate (next June).

The school is very dedicated to the co-op program, and the quarters system makes much more sense than semesters for co-op. It makes more sense to employers, plus you get a full six months to work, and half the school is on co-op while the other half is in class.Who was the genius that thought up this schedual? Why not just do a normal semester?

But school is over for you on Wednesday. Having a final on Friday is no fun.

At least with sit down final exams you know it's going to be over in a couple hours. Take home finals can be a nightmare. At first I thought they were good because you could work through it at your leisure, and consult books, notes, etc. for help. However what I later found out is that they just turn into giant time sinks. If the prof. gives exactly 1 week to work on a final exam, I am the type of person who would work through it and continue to revise/tweak/improve my answers all the way up until the minute it's due.
