AI sucks, well at least the teacher I took it with sucked. He tried teaching us prolog the last day of class and had questions on the final over it.

We're not on a normal schedule here. Its a quarters system, you go 5 years, the middle three are 6 months of class, 6 months of co-op. I'm in my 4th year, which means this is finals for the first of five straight terms from now till I graduate (next June).

We? As in everyone in your entire school has to do a 5 year co-op program 😕

Who was the genius that thought up this schedual? Why not just do a normal semester?

The entire school is on the quarters system, but you don't HAVE to do the co-op program. You can opt for 4 year no co-op or 4 year 1 co-op as well.

The school is very dedicated to the co-op program, and the quarters system makes much more sense than semesters for co-op. It makes more sense to employers, plus you get a full six months to work, and half the school is on co-op while the other half is in class.
P.S. you spelled schedule wrong, genius.

Don't bitch until you've had 3 physics finals in one day, back to back. My friends still tell stories about how insane I got and it's been years since then. It was either that or not graduate for another year though.

I feel pity for no one anymore. I took an advanced astrophysics course my senior year and everybody else dropped out but me. I never dreamed I'd be the only person in a class like that. I came out of there everyday with sweat running down the back of my legs. The final was very nerveracking. Luckily for me I got to take that one on a day all by itself.

I'm not bitching, I'm just not looking forward to it. Besides, physics is easy chump.

Glad you think so. I'll simply assume that you have a degree in physics and have taken all the courses, plus a graduate degree or two, so you can comfortably say that physics is easy.

Me on the other hand, I'm not going to judge your courses in some feeble attempt to make myself feel smart.

Graduate and get a job. Then we'll talk. 😀

Oh relax chumplestein, I was just trying to push your buttons, and obviously it was very easy to do so.

Alas, my finals are coming up soon too. At least I'm just in high school. Though my finals schedule blows.

First day: Chemistry
Second Day: (all in a row) History, Geometry, Adv. Algebra
Third Day: (all in a row) Spanish, English

Eek...

At least with sit down final exams you know it's going to be over in a couple hours. Take home finals can be a nightmare. At first I thought they were good because you could work through it at your leisure, and consult books, notes, etc. for help. However what I later found out is that they just turn into giant time sinks. If the prof. gives exactly 1 week to work on a final exam, I am the type of person who would work through it and continue to revise/tweak/improve my answers all the way up until the minute it's due.

I had several take-home exams during graduate school. Most people took at least 12 full, devoted hours to complete; some people ran into the low 20s if they screwed something up early on and had to go back and correct their numbers throughout the entire midterm.

Excel is so much fun, but man, can it be a pain if you don't know what you're doing!
