I'll mention original solutions.....

#1.) e-mail them to yourself

#2.) Bluetooth photo share

They both work, if not tediously and laboriously. But this is Apple. Apple's part of tomorrow's computing future, right?

So is there a simple solution where one can just drag/drop pictures to and fro using a PC???

(FWIW, my daughter is moving pics from her old iPod Touch to the new Gen4 we just got her for her birthday via BTPhotoshare and is on about pic#200 with only another couple thousand to go)

Ummm, if you just plug it in to a computer windows will ask if you want to browse the pictures. Then you just copy them on to your hard drive, hook the new device up and copy them back.

iCloud is probably the simplest way, but if the old one can't run iOS 5...

You can copy iPhone->computer by just plugging the device into the computer and browsing to the device, as if it were a regular flash card. However you can't copy to the device. You have to sync the photos over.

I thought I copied photos to an iPhone before as well. But its still pretty simple if you copy them off, tell iTunes where they're at, then sync the new device.

That's kind of what I've come to figure out. Too bad it can't just be drag & drop all the way around but oh well. (one of the pissers is that it creates a new folder on the iPod and they can't be moved but oh well.)

By the time I got them all synced my daughter came out and asked what I was doing with her new iPod. I told her and she replied, " I already did all the pics I wanted with Bluetooth photoshare."

SE la vi.
