So.....is the XP 1800 THE fastest Amd cpu out?

Yes, but they prolly aren't going to be faster than the 1800+. The AthlonMP 1.2 GHz wasn't really faster than the 1.4 GHz T-bird that was already out, so I imagine they will probably stick to that same format for making MP releases. To answer the original question, yes.

Sounds interesting - can I have a link? I'd like to read about this. IBM always makes such good stuff.

Anyway, I think the XP 1800+ will be the big boy on the AMD block for awhile. My guess is that the XP 1800+ will be the fastest AMD cpu till sometime in Jan.
