so is NV40 pci-ex native or does it use a bridge ? (NT)

I guess you didn't bother to read any of the reviews.
It uses a bridge chip. There's a special implementation of AGP of 4GB/sec up AND down but not simultaneously between the GPU and then bridge chip.
 
yes i read....but i came across a contradicting statement by someone (i think it was at beyond3d) who claimed all of a sudden they support native pci-ex interface.
(Contradicting any other info i had)
