So is Chief Value owned by the same people that own Newegg?

I ordered from Chief Value for the first time yesterday and noticed how their shopping cart, invoice emails, etc. are all the same as Newegg.

Did a quick search on the forums and found people claiming that they're the same company.

So, are they? If so, why would they operate two independent stores?

They have different prices on the same items. Why not try to gain more market share?

maybe they realized that their slogan "Once you know you newegg" is the worst slogan EVER.
