So is Asrock alone in writing sloppy bios?

I do love me my 890gx Pro 3 but the bios, oy vey!

First version didn't have the much ballyhoo'd Turbo OCC. No biggie but where was it?

OK. Updated bios. Woot, there it is! Don't need it.

Now I need to wake on LAN.

The bios I have is lacking obvious "startup from pci device."

Change to another bios and woot, there's the option!

So now I can wake up from sleep, hibernate *and* shutdown.

Who has the most generally reliable bios of the major intel/amd mb manufacturers?

Intel, simply because they don't put much features on mainstream boards, but those that are there are tested and work very well. I'd think their enthusiast boards have more BIOS options and that these are tested well.

Anything that is cutting edge is often buggy.

You'd think somebody established like ASUS would have pretty good record, but that's not the case. Stability of their boards varies greatly.
