So is 34" about the max size for decent 4k monitor?

Looking at amazon and ebay, it seems like the biggest I saw was 34". Sound right? I don't mean a TV, but something designed specifically to be used as a computer monitor on a PC.

Thanks!

Yes I think Monitors seem to cap out around 34", TVs will go 40-60+ though.

I have a 34" Ultrawide and it is about the same height as most 27". If you get a 34" 4k it will be very tall, so gauge how big it is vs how close it will be sitting / mounted.

There are a few in the low 40's which for many people, who don't have the eyes of a MLB batter, will be the ideal size for everyday use with no scaling. A 40" 2160P monitor has pretty much the same dot pitch as a 27" 1440p monitor. Dell, Seiki and Philips come to mind off the top of my head.

There are some bigger but the sweet spot for PPI where it's large enough to offer visual improvement but small enough to be readable at normal monitor distance without the need for scaling, is around about 32-34". I'm running a 32" 4k and I have pretty good eyes so can use it at native scaling in windows, but 34" would be really comfy for the average Joe. As you grow bigger you simply diminish PPI.

Phillips do the 40 inch BD 4065 4k monitor, I love mine it's great for gaming and far superior to the tiny 27" Samsung 4K monitor I used to use. I don't think much under 40inch is worth it for 4K.

I have a 40" 4K by Seiki and my dad has a 43" 4K by Phillips. I think 40" is pretty good... it's like having a 20" 1080p as far as image sizes / crispness / readability. If you want it smaller and crisper, I would not go below 32" though, that's roughly 16" 1080p. That's pretty small for full time use.

eBay has some South Korean monitors that have FreeSync, are IPS displays, and are 40 inch or 43 inch. Look for Wasabi Mango.

What I haven't seen is any monitors that have both HDR and FreeSync.
