Everywhere online I've read that it is/was going to be $199 with a 2-year contract. I logged into Verizon and Wirefly this morning and they're saying $149 w/2-year contract. Do they usually run a cheap promo the first week that the phone is out or are these price mistakes?

Just wondering if I should jump on the band-wagon or wait for reviews and possibly pay the higher price.

Verizon shows $199 for me unless I do an upgrade and use my $50 credit.

Not sure about wirefly. I dont' think there's any reason to wait for a lot of reviews, it's similar to the thunderbolt and will be a great phone just like the original incredible.

If you like what it offers go for it. Seems a little lackluster to me with a single core and no 4G.

Ginormous ripoff at $200. Worse GPU and screen than the free-with-upgrade Fascinate (at BB this weekend). But why are you contact-locking to a phone without dual-core or LTE anyway?

I agree that 200 is steep but it's a much better phone than the fascinate by far, the fact that it's made by HTC alone is reason enough.

and how many apps in the market take advantage of the dual core in the Atrix?

Some games. But it's more about the multitasking smoothness(TM) you get with the second core -- read AT's Thunderbolt review.
