That's all...

Oh, you want more? Okay then. I saw the first one when it came out as everyone did and thought it was decent. I'm not much into the fantasy genre though so I haven't looked at any of the others. Now that I'm 3 movies in I'm enjoying them enough for what they are. Doubt I'll ever read the books which probably makes the movies even better.

I'm 3 movies in and thought this 3rd one was the worst (Prisoner of Azkaban) even though the ratings for it were much higher than the rest. Near the end it got really dumb IMO with the time travel BS. Though of course whenever you introduce time travel in a movie you essentially throw all notion of a coherent story out the window and hope nobody catches on to the natural questions that arise with time travel. Also I don't like the new Dumbledore they picked after the first one died.

I think they get better as they go on, though I haven't seen DH1 (coming out on dvd in a few days, I think) yet.

I would assume so. The story and effects seem to be sound across the board, and the kids are getting better at acting with each movie. I can almost stand that little blond prick that plays Malfoy or w/e his name is. Not sure why he in particular has always seemed off to me but he has.

Does anybody understand why don't mix their magic with modern technology. Like, it seems they could really benefit from things like computers and phones.

Edit: I did some googling. It seems like electricity doesn't work when there is a lot of magic in the air. Hmmm...

This is good thinking.

I like the films, they are fun and entertaining. I haven't seen the most recent one yet... So I'll see.

I just realized something--I've never swallowed molten hot razor blade. ...and I don't think I'm going to do it just because I haven't before.

I think by book 3 the author was being paid by the word....

The first two books are well covered in the first two movies. After that, they are forced to leave out half the book (or more) when taking the story to film.

The books are worth the read, but I find the movies harder to like knowing how much is omitted.

I thought Emma Watson was getting real pretty by the third film.

I think the problem was that in the earlier movies he really wasn't much of anything other than a one dimensional bully. It's not until the last couple of movies that they've made his character anything even remotely more complicated.

I stopped watching after the 3rd, maybe 4th movie? But I was always disappointed with the serious lack of magic in these movies that were supposedly about magic. :p

I saw all of them in a one week period thanks to Netflix.
Fun, but EXTREMELY overrated. Do not know how they can be so ridiculously popular. Other than the teen sex appeal.

I think it's because people loved the books, which are supposedly vastly, vastly better than the movies - so I've been told, I've never read them.

This is kind of how I'm feeling. I'm in the middle of the 4th one and it's pretty awful. I mean... Hermione crying because Ron didn't ask her to the ball? Fuck you... go back to the god damned fireballs and dragons. And then that creepy ass girl ghost trying to catch a peak at Harry's wand in the tub? Fuck this garbage. Was any of this shit in the books?
