...I hear a whole bunch of sirens. I noticed that none of the traffic was moving and that the sirens had stopped in front of work. Well it turns out that a girl was hit by a car today while jaywalking.

some lady locked a baby in the car at the local gas station today. it was scarey.. nobody knew where she ran off to and we had to call the cops to get the kid out.

about 10 cops showed, 2 firetrucks, and an ambulence. the baby was okay, he had only been in the car for about 30 minutes. i dont know what happened to the mother

I was threading my way through traffic (and wondering why it was all stopped) on my bicycle heading home yesterday only to come across what appeared to be an INS raid on a house on my route home. Lots of heavily armed guys guarding lots of handcuffed guys sitting in the front yard. Nothing like vans, cops and guns to snarl traffic during rush hour.

I hate rubberneckers!!!! Traffic is bad enough without people braking because they're nosy. Anytime there's an accident, I wish that God drops a big blanket over the area so that nobody can see what is going on. No wonder so many people watch the news. Y'all damn nosy.

No kidding. It's not uncommon here in ATL for traffic to be stopped in both directions on the freeway because there's been an accident on one side and everyone on the other side stoppped to look (and often got into accidents as well since they weren't looking where they were going). Morons.
