When will my toe nail fall off 🙁

I was playing floor hockey and I took a stick to the foot............ my second toe nail has been bruised and black for about 3 weeks. I am waiting for the sucker to fall off.

rip it off w/ pliers!

On a side note I on accident ripped off my big toe nail exiting my shower a few years ago. The shower is one of those stand-up showers and as I was exiting it my big toe nail caught the metal plate that was seperating the enterance. I was so tired at the time that I didn't even know what had happened until I looked at the bathroom floor and saw blood everywhere. My toe nail was sticking straight up! Nasty!!

I went to the hospital and they reattached my toe nail. They numbed my big toe and then they cut off the damaged toe nail. Once that was completed they reattached it and sowed it up. I couldn't walk for days. It cost me over $600 as well.

I had my thumb nailed in hockey last year. My thumb nail fell off after a few weeks. Wish I had some pics now.
 
I will post a pic of my toe from a while back when I goto lunch. I went snowboarding with a pair of boots that just barely fit my feet but I forgot to clip my toenail and it pressed against the tip of the boot all day and loosened my big toe nails up. Will bump thread when I post it 😀
 
So far , it's not even loose. I hope it comes off soon........... I don't want it hanging by a thread and getting irritated everytime I put on a sock 😛

After someone stepped on my toe a few weeks back playing basketball, that night I popped the black blood pockets and pulled the nail off. It hurt like hell that night but it was fine by the next morning, and I played bball again the next night.
 
Oh well, at least you got it playing hockey. :thumbsup:

i have 2 colossal bruises on my leg from getting hit with a couple clearing attempts.

now though, it's time for (*dun dun dun*) the dreaded golf sock tan! 😀
 
my toenail got torn off completly when a heavy weight was dropped on it when i was a teenager. caused a pretty good gash underneath my toe also. doctors said there was a good chance my toenail would never grow back. well it did, but oddly, with a weird tip/point at the center of the toenail. oh well, rather that than no toenail at all.
 
I had a similar thing while I went snowboarding (boot was too tight, bruised my big toe)... it won't fall off, the bruised part under the nail will slowly grow out, and after a couple of months it will be completely gone and the nail will return to normal
