So... I'm up late not doing homework and remember my Gf's b-day is coming up...

I think she'd like it if I got her a ring for her birthday. She' also needs a new purse since her old one is well, crapping out. I think the strap is about to fall off. Anyway, I was gonna get her a purse and I'm thinking of putting the ring box inside to suprise her with. I'm still a college student and don't really have that much to spend. I'm putting a 200 limit on the occasion for the ring and handbag. I like white gold designs like the following.

Ring I'm having a ring sizer sent to me and I plan to use it when she's asleep next time she comes over.

For the handbag, I'm looking for something in black leather about a foot wide and maybe 2/3's of a foot high. A main compartment with a smaller compartment on the side. Probably a button to close it. Handbag1 Something like that I guess, but more of a clean cut look. AHere's another look.

Anyway, if any of you are up late and have nothing to do and just happen to have any ideas, any help would be appreciated. :) Any other ideas would also be good.

Never did understand why people like Diamond Rings when you can barely see the diamonds, I'd rather have a solid gold ring with no stones. To each his own.

personally, i don't buy rings for girlfriends because i think a ring should only be given for that one special occasion. if you give rings as presents, and time comes to propose for marriage, it just wouldn't seem as special. but that's just me.

i've given pretty much every other jewelry there is (earrings, pendants, necklaces, bracelets, anklets,... ). make sure your gf isn't uncomfortable receiving a ring. good luck.

She's pretty comfortable with it. I'm on good terms with her sister. You have a point though... I'll rethink the ring. The purse is a go though. Her sister so far says I've found a good one. I still have a few weeks to look though.

Point taken on the Rings, but I'm not gonna get her one for a difference reason. I'm just gonna wait till Christmas to give her one. Sorry about that, habib89. You'll find a better one. ;)
