and my question is:

How much less of a man would I be>?

I really like these little cars, and I can take some jokes, but how bad would it be?

The ones I've seen driven on the road, about 15 or so, have been driven by males.. :\

..... But back in the day, these cars were held with a bit more respect.. (other than people in-the-know)

I love em!.... nothing insightful to say here, just.. uh, passing through :)

I'm getting one, silver. I like the car I could care less what other people though about people that drive minis.

Me and my friends will have a blast zipping around town with it.

I'd think you were crazy if you told me you paid more than MSRP to buy one. Otherwise, nice car.

They'll come down in price eventually, and I don't think it's worth the price for the priviledge of owning one now. Just my opinion. They are nice looking in pictures, but, they call 'em Mini for a reason--they are too small. Nice looking, even in person, but too small. Scary small.

<-- Lives in S.FL where Caddies & Lincolns driven by mostly blind old folk own the road.

you'd be much MORE of a man for not caring what it does to your masculinity. seriously!

it's a fad. unless you live in a city where parking is a pita, or you like fuel economy (not even sure about this one - get a hybrid!), or you like to be trendy... find another car that isn't overpriced and doesn't have a wait list.

It's a damn good looking car, handles well, sporty. What more could you want? I have no idea how Minis could be considered feminine... didn't you people see Goldmember? No way in hell is a Mini a threat to masculinity.

Get what you want.

Who you are is not defined by what car you drive.

I don think they are over-priced

You get a lot of nag for the buck, not to mention some Rover\BMW engineering. for about 20 grand, you get a lot. Dealers are not allowed to price gouge, and once the 2003 year comes, there are going to be a lot of them.

I live in the SF bay area...I will probably wind up working in San Francisco or San Jose. Gas is way over priced, there is always traffic, and dont expect to find a lot of parking :)

I looked at the WRX, it's obviously a faster car, and larger, but its also fugly and tinny looking (not tiny, tinny).
