King Arthur (2004)
A little overwrought at times. It's a Bruckheimer film, so I wonder how he felt not having any car, copter, or chopper chases. Big explosions - well bramble, oil, and flamming arrow explosions.
Keira Knightley - not much in the way of teh boob (but I've always been a leg man) but they did use much of the blue paint to create shadows of cleavage. Yeah, I was looking. And speaking of looks - man, hers is smouldering. I know now why my last girlfriend had the hots for her and made her think about being bi (for just her though).
Clive Owen - he didn't chew the scenery like Crowe did in Gladiator (2000 - man, that seems ages ago) but he is a really good actor. I hope he gets more roles in good films.
I couldn't really watch the last battle between the villagers and the invading Saxons without laughing. I kept on waiting for one of the Saxons to mug in front of the camera and say, "what is in your wallet."
So let's see - I'm "working" at home waiting for Sears to deliver the new stackable washer and dryer. And I watching Starz movies on dish network. Not too shabby.
Next up on the channel - a freaky movie called Teknolust with Tilda Swinton. Man she is freaky in this movie - multiple characters. And another thing I am really beginning to hate on the small screen - shot on video. Yeah, I know it is cheaper than flim and easier to shoot on location but the video texture is just horrible to me.
I think I'll go out and enjoy the heat instead...
