I played HL2 on my desktop and I want to play the campagin again from a certain point but its asking me to start from scratch again. Is there a way to download a profile of the game from the internet so I can start from Ravenholm instead of the beginning in the train and stuff?

Please tell me if there is a way, and if there is a way, can you try to give me a link to a completed profile?

Thanks

I just got HL2 from my brother but the computer I am going to be playing it on doesn't have internet access. I remember reading something a loooong time ago about how steam made you register via internet before you could play it or something which would really put a damper in things. Am I able to play the game without getting on the internet (I have the cd and codes and box it came in and stuff)?

1.) sv_cheats 1
2.) map d1_town_01

Also, if you don't want to do that, might as well start from the beginning again, but this time try using the cinimatic mod.

Much as I hate to say it, I think that would violate the EULA, and also irritate the mods.
Though I have been told it is possible with hacks from the interweb.
Recommend searching elseware.

Yes but once you install the game you need to connect to connect to the internet and create a Steam account. You then have to wait for Steam and the game to update. Once all that is done you can make the game available in "offline mode". You can then always play the game without an internet connection.

Win! Now I'm going to replay too!

Here to make it simple to install (cause it's a bit confusing):
Install This First

now install the following in order (not sure if it matters though):
1.) Outdoor Addon
2.) Addon v2
3.) Addon v3
4.) Addon v3.1
5.) Addon Hotfix 3.2

So if you read the read me, the orginal goes to the steam app's, source mod folder, and all the addons go into the Cinimatic mod folder.

Read the readme for more info. This post contains the most up to date releases for the Cinimatic mod.

(and yes, it's all rather large)

You win at HL2 replay value.
