And I get this email:
2u46d06.jpg

Since I'm already on AT, I check my inbox but no sign of the PM. Weird. And usually emails of incoming forum PM's are a little different than what I got.
I look up the username to figure out what I may have said to earn "a painful death" and find out the guy joined today, has 2 posts, none of which are in topics I posted in... It's not really a problem just weird since I never even talked to this guy...

Checking into it.

This happened to me a couple years ago with an email and pm. It was a known troll who goes from forum to forum sending crap like this.

Thanks guys the nonsense makes sense now.

Looks like someone is never gonna give you up, or let you down, or run around.

 Funny, my AT user name comes from my friends teasing me about acting like Rick James on one occasion and like Rick Astley on another.

vBulletin allows (optionally) members to send Emails rather than PMs. They don't see your e-mail address when they send one to you, but their return address shows up, as you saw.

If you want to disable that feature for other people to e-mail you, click the "User CP" on the top left, then "Edit Options." You should see "Receive Email from Other Members" -- un-check that. PMs will still work, but the option to Email you will not show.
