So I'm missing some ingrain reactions

I was at a coastal scene this weekend. Most of the weekend I don't feel like disclosing mostly because of how crappy it was and how much money I wasted/lost... but one thing that kind of exemplifies how my reactions are a bit off is when I was in a club, dressed nicely and walking with a friend when a girl who was walking by suddenly tries to grab my arm and says "hello".

Me being the unrefined person that I am was dumbstruck and could not react beyond to keep walking and to say hello back....

What is the appropriate reaction and how do you develop these seemingly instinctual reactions?

Hit her with a club and drag her home?...or stop and chat with her for a bit?

She broke the ice. At that point it should be easy.

That's the point. It should be so much easier from that point on but it was not... I may be defective in this regard.

:hmm: I strongly suspect......based on many of your past postings, this is not the only area in which you're defective.
If you were an automobile, you'd have been recalled LONG ago...
