Anything around 1ghz, 256 megs of ram is enough..

getting a lilliput 7" touchscreen, just want to know, will a usb extension cable be good to bring the touch screen from the front of the car to the back? or do I have to put the computer somewhere up front?

Also, im going to buy a 12V power supply with a built in shut down controller, they are like 100 watts or something, is that going to be good enough?

Thanks for all advice

I already built the system, just waiting on monitor until i have some cash. If you click on My System at the bottom you can see what's in it.

It's based on the Shuttle SN95G5 V2.

When I do get the monitor I am also going to buy an ATX mobo and a much lesser 939 CPU. Then I'll throw the lesser CPU into the Shuttle, throw in some cheap memory, and put the 3200+ in my tower.

LOL well it's not bottom of the line either.

The far bigger problem in my system is the FX5200 :)

Maybe I wouldn't move the 3200+ out. It would all depend on when I am ready to do all this and what prices are at the time.

id apprechiate it if someone could find me a decent SMALL mobo, and the cheapest cpu for it around...

1ghz is plenty, i will only be playing mp3's, movies, and GPS software
