...I play CS and I am sick of my speaker orientation, which is designed for my TV, being reverse when I am sitting at my computer. So, I want to get a nice pair of headphones to play CS. I also would be interested in the same pair when I fly once or twice a year, instead of the crappy ass ones that came with my MD. I'm looking at the Grado SR-60s but they're a bit high in my price range, is there anything $35-40 that I could use? Thanks

Or to around $100 and get some Sony MDR-7506's. I bought a set in April and I'm in love with them. Let a friend borrow them for a day and he loved them so much that he went and bought a set too.

I play CS with them all the time. It's awesome. I hear new little sound effects that I never heard before when playing w/ speakers. Like in train, when you're around the dumpster, you can hear the flies flying around. Pretty neat. And they're comfortable, I can wear them for hours and never notice they're there. I've heard the Grado's can be a little uncomfortable for some people, and the local shop didn't have that model on display, so I spent a little more and got the Sony's.

For $48 bucks, you can get the pair of headphones i just got. I was pretty much in the same boat as you so I was looking for a decent pair of headphones that were good for gaming too. I read some reviews on the Sony MDR seriers, the Grado's, and some others. Then my friend recommended these RumbleFX headphones that he say at buy.com. I looked up some reviews and they're a great gaming set of headphones that have good sound quality for the price also. Check em out.
