If you want to buy tv shows, iPod.
If you want support for lots of different formats without transcoding, Zen Vision M
If you have a MediaCenter computer, wait for the Toshiba Gigabeat S series

well honestly Id compress a lot of movies for myself to whatever format required and/or dload TV shoes and such from NGs to watch.
I guess I'm concerned with the quality of the video on the Ipods and such... I guess I gotta hit the apple store :(

i own a video ipod and maybe it's just mine but the battery life blows when playing videos. probably 1 tv show and on the second one, it'll fail after half the epi. is over.

The Zen is VERY interesting to me. I love tha tit does XViD and all the other formats. question though is does it require some special resolution or can I just drag and drop my dozens and dozens of already-ripped-to-XViD-from-DVD TV shows?

i'm guessing by tv show you mean an hour(42 min) long show, cause 30min of batt life would be unpassable.
