  • Acting like I'm looking under the tree for another gift (going down on one knee in the process), and finding, of course, her ring.
  • Getting a candy pop ring and replacing the candy part with her ring.
  • We've decided to exchange new ornaments every year, so I thought I could maybe incorporate the ring into one.
Anybody have any crazy or fun ideas for this? How'd you propose?

the idea of the ornament sounds sweet.

im probably going to put a damper on your parade, but i would suggest a prenup

whether you want to get married or not is completely up to you, but at least cover your own @ss

Thanks, but this doesn't have much to do with my proposal.

As she exits the terminal with her lugage I will be waiting with all of our friends behind me. I'll get down on one knee and make a little speech and propose in front of everyone at the airport. I just need to buy a ring. Whatca think?

Bad idea. There's always a chance she doesn't want to get married, or at least not right now. Pressuring her in front of other people, whether it's a bunch of people (a la the infamous "will you marry me" sign at baseball stadium) or your personal friends are a bad idea. You can do "cute" ways of marrying her in a more private setting. Just don't put her in a high pressure situation when you ask, it's not fair to her.

How timely. On the news this morning they were talking about this. They said it was a bad idea. Main reason is the one that Shadowknight brought up. Anyways good luck.

<- Happily married man.

Congratulations.

I proposed to my wife on her birthday. She almost fainted when I pulled out the last gift!

What ever you decide to do, it better be really good. Because this is the kind of stuff women remember for ever. So if you do a bad job of it, you will either get turned down or reminded about it forever. Good Luck Man!!!
