im probably going to put a damper on your parade, but i would suggest a prenup

whether you want to get married or not is completely up to you, but at least cover your own @ss

Bad idea. There's always a chance she doesn't want to get married, or at least not right now. Pressuring her in front of other people, whether it's a bunch of people (a la the infamous "will you marry me" sign at baseball stadium) or your personal friends are a bad idea. You can do "cute" ways of marrying her in a more private setting. Just don't put her in a high pressure situation when you ask, it's not fair to her.

How timely. On the news this morning they were talking about this. They said it was a bad idea. Main reason is the one that Shadowknight brought up. Anyways good luck.

What ever you decide to do, it better be really good. Because this is the kind of stuff women remember for ever. So if you do a bad job of it, you will either get turned down or reminded about it forever. Good Luck Man!!!
