UPDATE:

Ok so here's what happened; I asked the boss to order me a drink.

Now she got my a "Jolly Rancher" it tasted just like a cherry Jolly Rancher. Not bad at all. not sure what was in it.

Then she got me a Madress (sp?) It's vodka, cranberry juice, and orange juice. I liked it; I had two.

Then she bought a Long Island Iced Tea with top bar liqueur. I really had to baby that one. It was very very good.

I felt fine to drive home and I did; all is well thanks for the help all. It was a success!

Ok....

four drinks and you felt fine to drive home. i wonder what your BAC was.

not to preach, but don't make a habit of drinking and driving even if you feel "fine" to drive home.

Depends on how long he was there. The first 3 were probably not all that much alcohol.

Long Islands though have quite a bit.
let's couple that with the fact this was the *first* time he has been out drinking at a bar, and he "rarely drinks".
the first three drinks each contained a shot of alcohol which you know equals a beer or a glass of wine each, and the LIIT could have had 4-5 shots in it. so are we talking 7-8 standard drinks here?

yeh... i wouldn't feel right driving with 7-8 drinks in me.

Crazy, crazy shit. Upon ingestion, your body instantly feels like puking, but that goes away after 1-2 seconds. Definitely a cool drink, though. I had it in Armenia, so it was probably imported from Europe.

Yeah unless he was there for a loooong time his BAC was definitely over the limit, probably by quite a bit. Especially with having the Long Island last.

Glad it went well. Be careful though. It is easy to put yourself over the limit like that.

Even though long island iced tea usually has 5 different types of booze in it, it's usually not 5 full shots. It's more like 2 or 3 shots in terms of volume. (1/2 or 1/3 shot of each liquor)
We do not know trigun500's weight.
As others have said, we do not know the duration of time that was spent at the bar.

It's possible he was over the limit, bit depending upon the above factors, he may very well have been below the limit too.

For example, if he weighs 300 pounds and had 1 drink every 30 minutes, he would probably not even break .05 given the above drink choices.

I think drinking isn't necessary but if you feel you must drink for example in work situations, and you're a beginner, then stick with beer.

Sounds like your boss was trying to get you boozed up so she could take advantage of you.

You drove home? Oh well, perhaps she'll get you next time ;)

Yeah, depends on the bar a lot. I haven't had a LI in a while, but the last one I had was definitely full shots as I watched the bartender make it.

Yeah seriously, unless she is disgusting, sleeping with your boss usually = job security. ESPECIALLY if she took advantage of you.

You should not have been driving after those drinks. Please don't drive next time. With hard liquor, you're breaking the law if you have more than one or two mixed drinks.

For recommendations, White Russian (milk, vodka, kahlua) is always a classic. Try a Tic Tac (tastes like an orange tic tac - a can of red bull + orange flavored vodka). Strawberry Daiquiri almost always tastes good.

Yeah, that's where I was going with this post.

If you want to intentionally end the night with "Shot Orderers", order a round of Dead Nazis. That will clear the night.
