I found out yesterday I got approved for the new Post-911 GI Bill. I will get 100% of my tuition paid, $1000 a year stipend for books, and as long as I am a half-time student taking classes on campus (online doesn't count), I will also receive a housing allowance equal to what an active duty E-5 would get for my school's location - in my case, that's approximately $1000 a month. Hell, my mortgage is only $1100, so for the entire time I'm in school, I can basically double-up on my mortgage payments.

I get free tuition from the state + $1500 from GI Bill. Starting in August when I contract with ROTC I'll get another $400 a month and $600 per semester for books. 🙂
