So I'm addicted to Anandtech and Dailytech

I guess it's not a bad to thing for AT or DT and says a lot about the quality of the site and material coverage.

I am starting to think it is becoming somewhat of a problem for me. If I have access to the internet, I have to check it every few minutes or so to get the latest tech news. If I don't see a new article by the time I refresh again, I am dissappointed. Or the fact that 1/5 articles are not of interest to me dissappoints me. It's like I can't get enough of new technology announcements and released.

So maybe I am addicted to technology advancement, I love reading about how this new tech or improvement of old tech is 20% more efficient at this or achieves 10% better fuel mileage. So I realize that this is stupid because AT or DT are not responsible for making events happen faster. I'm also not sure why I don't even give other websites much of a chance, and why I prefer AT and DT.

Also, often at work, if I don't have an important task to do (engineer doing estimating work) then I waste a lot of time doing this while at my job. Granted this usually only happens during slow days, but even on a busy day, I can't help but take a few 5 minute breaks to make sure I don't miss an article. If I go a few days without being able to get online, I will get irritated and itch to be able to red up on it, when I do I will go through all the articles of those days missed.

Do I have a problem? Anyone else feel this way?

P.S. I love the forums and the AT community, very helpful lot you are! (for the most part ;))

I only visit DailyTech when I see an interesting link from AT's main page.
AT's main site I visit for reviews and news. Sometimes the AT articles go way more in depth than I need (no big deal, more is better for that), but I find the staff there to be very good. I think they do need a technical editor for grammar and better English and style, though. The content is fantastic as-is, and I like the occasional humor (not overdone) used.

I read pretty much every article on Dailytech. I used to read everything on Anandtech, but they've been doing fewer articles that interest me lately.

When computers were my thing, I spent lots of time on the Anandtech main page and on the forums. Now, I hardly visit any of the tech sub-forums here and I never go to Anandtech.com or Dailytech.

i don't know about mac tards, but generally the comments are youtube-quality.

is it a news site? is it a blog? it's a news site until someone calls them on the craptacular days-old copy-pasting or humongous errors, then it's a blog.

I used to check AT and DT a few times a week, haven't done that for a few years now. I forgot DT existed until this thread.
