So I'm about to sign up for GrandCentral, but I want to get a number that I'd be happy with. The local Papa John's phone number is 367-PAPA. I want to be able to give my number out like that. In all honesty, I would probably never say: "my number is 123-dude". I'd still like to be able to do it though. So I have in mind a numeric sequence that I'd like to have somewhere in the number. Has anyone found a good way of searching for numbers that are "like" a particular number?

And am I getting caught up in something trivial, or could this become beneficial one day?

Oh that's neat. There are something like 20 numbers in my hometown area code, and probably 50 or s in my college area code. I have no clue what area code I'll be in next year though, so I'm kind of indifferent to area codes.

While this is only slightly related, the people at VZW let me pick my cell phone number when I signed up from a list of available numbers. I picked one that ended in "8008".

Get it? BOOB, like on a calculator in 7th grade :D

Edit: The preceeding number is even a 5 too - although unfortunately I couldn't get 531-8008
