If you changed the assigned number in your phone it will not work.
The network that the number is recogonized by has to understand that the number is in existance and is being used by that coding sequence.

If you can change the number, it will just change the number on the phone, and most likely you will have to bring it in to get it fixed.

OH man. That is such a good idea!!!! When you do this sequence, it brings you to a service menu. It looks like all you can do is change the phone # to it, but that is still sweet.

All this will allow you to do is to change the number of the phone. It will not work, as the ESN of the phone will not match the MTX switches records.

The ONLY way to change the ESN of the phone is if you have a special docking station and dongle from the OEM.
