so if there was a pill that made smoking simply cease to feel good...

i.e. chemically induced cold turkey. all the receptors in your brain that make smoking tobacco feel good (for nicotine addicts at least) simply don't work any more.

basically: you have a craving, but smoking does nothing to subdue it.

would it help people quit smoking, or would they just get pissed off and stop taking the pill?

Why don't they have one already? I know you get them for alcohol and pot addicts.

What?

What are you talking about? There are no pills that can do that yet as far as I know. Certainly not for marijuana.

Marijuana is one of the easiest drugs to quit.

I imagine alot of smokers becoming angry for feeling bad while they continued to smoke.

Never have understood cigarettes really. Even Primetimes aren't anything special, and cloves only taste good until your tongue starts getting numb. Even at that, they're incredibly unhealthy and the best part is the crackling noise they make. Hookah on the other hand, that's some good stuff.

They have disulfiram for alcoholics. People still drink like crazy though.

I think it's called disulfiram, it makes you nauseous when you drink.

theres a pill already out there that i can't remember the name of.. it apparently latches onto the nicotina receptors in your brain allowing for a significant decrease in how much nicotine they absorb.. so you smoke and don't get the nicotine..

Possibly because it is not? Neither is alcohol actually. Unless we are talking psychological addictions, which may or may not be BS depending on who's book you follow. A physhical addiction is another beast altogether, and ciggarettes are known to induce said addictions...

There is an alcohol thingading called "anibuse" ... it makes you have a violently ill reaction to alcohol, effectively making the mind equate alcohol = physical illness.
