I've noticed that everyone seems to think the nforce2 chipset is where it's at. My question is, will I have to hack the bridges on the top of my chip in order to overclock? I already happen to have a KT400 chipset (biostar m7vit), but I'm thinking about returning it.

Thanks,
Brian

nope
you will have access to all of the mults 13x and higher
most boards (i konw asus with bios 1002.A does) will unlock the ful set of mults so you can lower them down to wahteer you want while raising the fsb to howeverhigh you want

lock the agp in spec and raise the fsb, while lowering the mult

unless you have pc2100 ram?
then it might be better to raise fsb as far as possible, keeping it 1:1 with memory mhz, and then up the mult

I have a 256MB PC2700 now. I have a 512MB PC3000 coming in the mail (Sold/certified to run at PC3200).
