So if Heisman voting were held today, do you think Bush still would have won?

After Vince Young's performance last night (30-40 for 267yards passing and 200 yards rushing with 3TDs) I'd be hard pressed not to give the Heisman to him.

yeah, bush played pretty bad and it certainly didn't help him that white had such a good game. he'll take a hit in the draft for sure.

um, no

i'll say what i said in the other thread...young is a ball hog, he doesn't balance the team he IS the team. To me thats not what a heismann winner should be. A heismann goes to the most outstanding player on a team and thats what bush was this year. As great as young is his numbers show that he doesn't let his RB do his job, and he'd rather run it in for a touchdown himself than throw guys the ball. Yes he puts up points, awesome points, but hes jsut another Kobe Bryant ball hog type. Bush for heismann was the proper choice this year imho

Ummm. He threw the ball 40 times last night and completed 30 of them. I fail to see how that is being a ball hog. Yeah, he ran the ball 19 times (some of them designed runs) but that is the way the Texas offense is designed. They let Young take off if he can't find an open receiver. When you have an athletic QB like Young that is helluva weapon to have.

omg...what an ignorant assessment! have you seen any of the games this year? i watched every single game - part of the reason they have been so good is because jamal charles, selvin young, and ramonce taylor have been unbelievable. just go back and look at their stats and highlights...why do you think the zone read as the texas offense's bread and butter is so effective? it would be useless if the opponent defenses didn't respect the running backs...if they didn't, they would just camp out and spy on vince young...

selfish? doesn't throw? i hardly think that hitting 30 out of 40 attempts is not throwing...he took the same amount of attempts as leinart. btw, how do you explain his quarterback rating and passing efficiency being higher than matt's?

anyhow, i would definitely still make reggie bush the heisman. he is still in my mind the best player in college football, and has the potential to be a special player in the pros. i no doubt want the houston texans to take reggie with their #1 pick...

however, to say that young is a ball hog and doeesn't balance the team is ludicrous
