Results: 66.9 Frames per Second
And you know what, the game still looks pretty good. I just went through the first tier training missions on Hardcore. Wow, I'm rusty. But anyways, I didn't experience any slowdowns and the gameplay was superb.
Why does this matter? Well, almost every single computer will be able to handle Quake Live. This means that even if you're on a little utraportable laptop, you can start fragging people. This is great for the random 30 minutes here and there that you're doing nothing between classes, or even a lunch break at work. Plus, almost nobody is restricted from playing Quake Live - it's free and will run on pretty much anything.
Can't wait til it comes out... Anandtech Tournament, anyone?
