Dude, I can't believe you work at a zoo, you post that many pictures, and there are, like, 2 of them that involve zoo animals:p

Ha! I LoL'ed at that reply.

I really enjoyed the post though. I think the pictures are what do it.

That was great, thank you. I have always wanted to work at a zoo, glad to see somebody is living my dream :p

Was hoping for a good picture of the red panda though, those guys are awesome!

Your dream isn't so great ;)

One of our red pandas has his tail cut off as a youngster due to some sort of infection :(
I got a great view of them some mornings watering the trees on a ledge in back of their exhibit. It's kind of scary trying to walk around trees on a ledge holding a hose and attempting to not fall to your death :p

Those Red Pandas are my wife's favorites.

On a related note, did they get a new Rhino already? "Brewster"? He's quite impressive. His horn is PERFECT and HUGE.
I dig the new giraffe setup. I was walking by it this weekend and saw a giraffe sitting in the grass. I then realized that out of my COUNTLESS trips to the zoo, I have never seen a giraffe actually sitting.

Woah. Buffer overload error in my head. Will have to reboot and make another attempt to read the rest of the post later :)

Nice pics!

Most pictures ever posted (or linked to) in a single post EVER.

(I'm halfway through).

Interesting pics. Why on earth would you want to take a pic of a dead bird in a trashcan of goo though?

YOyoYOhowsDAjello: Update on Lucy stat! They put her down yesterday? :(

I heard that today from one of my friends who's still at the zoo. She'd fallen once more after her dramatic fall earlier in the summer, and the last time she didn't even try to get up. I think it was time for them to let her go.

Still sad, though. :(

Edit: By the way, Jello won't have internet until September 8th because of the trouble we've had scheduling installation. He might pop in occasionally on library computers, though.
