Tyler, from your nick I can guess you're graduating high school in '08. Which means you're like 15-16. Saying "Mac sucks" does not make you cool no matter how much you think it might.

I might be 17 but. The computer in my sig was paid for in 1 month at my job. I know alot about computer. I have a 2003 server, and a Fedora core 4 server. Yes i am still learning. I MYSELF DO NOT GET VIRUSES, OR EVEN ADWARE. IF I DO ITS LIKE 30 A MONTH( meaning like 29 adware, and 1 viruses). And sorry i meant adware, not spam, thats what the guy at the MAC store said. And whats with the 1 button mouse. If i were to get a mac, i would just emulate in on a PC. But you can not configure a router with a MAC.

The hell are you talking about? All routers have "web" interfaces for configuring making the OS irrelevant.

Do let us know what kind of $1300ish PC can even compare to a $4000 Mac Pro. I challenge you to even build one that will come close using that budget. In fact, I made a $3700 one:

http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/W.../wo/Jm17uthnagC43bo5AJmGZRx1xKH/2.?p=0

Good luck finding anything comparable for even $3000.

$200 PC will do the trick

Do let us know what kind of $200 PC will even perform in the same league as a Core or Core2 based Mac.

But put the pricing aside, I will say that Mac's suffer from less spyware/viruses just because they hold 5% of the market. So its not unreasonable to think that only 5% of viruses (or less) specifically effect the Mac. Spam is another story.

See comic, explains it all.. lol

Macs will obviously get as much spam as anything else, the security model(see unix) is a bit better making viruses less damaging but what are these not bad viruses he speaks of? Good viruses?

Did you ask the greatest question ever? So can I play counterstrike on it?(without emulation or windows...) lol

THANKS MAN, FOR REALLY BEING THE ONLY ONE SUPPORTING ME. Dont hate me because of my age, or that i hate MAC, it is just my opinion. And you see i respect the company, by making the name in caps.

Does not compute. Obviously you don't know crap about computers if you cannot even do that. If you're talking about consumer based routers, all of them have a WebUI that just requires something that translates HTML or Java. If you're talking about enterprise backbone routers (Cisco 4xxx+/3com SS 5xxx/blah blah), they all have serial connections that can be terminal'ed in and nearly all are command line based and are totally independant of OS.

Well, i have tried to use a G# to configure my cisco routers, and fibre switches. It would not do it. And people, i just posted my opinion. And you all have to get really hasty about this.

I've configured dozens of enterprise routers and fibre channel routers and SAN's and have never heard of wtf G# (is that some type of lingo?) is. I've worked in Intel as a Q&A for SAN storage. Care to enlighten me what G# is.

Wow seriously, do some research. Apple never had their own CPU. Their previous G4-G5 was based on the IBM Power4 uarch. The previous G3's I believe were of Motorola design. The G5 was actually just a stripped down Power4 called the PP790 (?). Apple has always contracted their hardware development to the outside. Its no surprise that Apple choose Intel because of their Core uarch.

And as for the AMD arguement, who would go AMD when a lowly $180 E6300 is equal to a $250 X2-4400. And a $350 E6600 is better than a $700 FX-62 in most situations.

Also thats not a computer, its a server, with 2 xeons. What were Xeons made for? And what do you need 2 dual core xeons on a system that wont even play games? Yeah my video editing takes up both cpus and maximum load. And what does a person really need a dually for personal computing?????? HUH

I'm sorry if computing to you means playing games.

And supposedly even if you DO play games, what good is an X2-4400 @ 2.6Ghz? Most games aren't even multithreaded, so buying a cheaper Single-Core Opteron, and overclocking it to 3+ Ghz on air will do better for about 95% of current games.

Regardless stop getting out of the point. You claimed you could build a $4000 Mac from a $1500 PC. I supplied you a $3700 Mac. Go build a similar one for $2000.
