So I went to Chili's the other day ...

... and I ordered the Soup & Salad Combo.

Me: "I'd like the Soup & Salad Combo -- A Ceasar salad and a bowl of chili."
Waitress: "We don't serve chili anymore."
Me: "Uhm, Chili's doesn't serve chili anymore? What the crap is that about?"
Waitress: "We have this new white chili with chicken ... !"

So? No need to make a big deal out of this. Chili's changes up it's menu from time to time like any other restaurant does. They still serve chili as your OP states (in this case, white chicken chili).

Except for the fact that the chili peppers are in their chili soup. That, and Chili's has traditionally been at chili cook-offs since it was founded.
