So I watched LOTR:ROTK EE last night...

so has anyone else seen it yet? I'd like to chat about some of the new scenes... (I'll change the title to include spoilers)

I watched the first disc today and I plan to watch the second disc tonight. I just have to much going on today to devote the 4+ hours straight.

What I've seen so far has been good.

I did like the extra scenes though.. it seemed to tie the story together although I can see why they were taken out.. seriously that is a long movie!

i've never seen any of the extended additions. how much additional movie is there included, and is it worthwhile stuff?

got mine today from Costco and plan on taking all day Sunday to view the entire trilogy. Gonna have to plan out all my meals and I plan on sitting on my ass for 9 straight hours!

There's 30 min of new material for Fellowship, 44 for Two Towers, and 50 min for this one. Almost 2 hours of stuff never seen in theaters. It's like getting a whole 4th movie. The new stuff expands on the characters and world and really adds to the whole experience. If you can sit through them, they're very worth watching.

and its with stuff like this that windvd is sweet🙂 it can playback at up to 2x speed with normalized sound..great for commentaries or extras if ur gonna bother with em. unless ur a ninny listening to people talk a tad bit faster works just fine.. commentaries are dense with info anyways..

I felt the extra scenes in ROTK to be useless. Only 2 or 3 scenes helped explain things further. The rest just made the movie too long.
