So i was wondering why the Z560's have this huge heatsink on the back that seems to always be kind of hot when the promedias have no visible heatsink and don't really seem warm. Is it the autoshutoff feature or something deeper?

<---yes i'm bored;)

My FPS2000s have a heatsink on the front of them.

Wonder if anyone has put a water cooling system on them :p

The ProMedias have a metal plate on the back which is used for heat dissapation. Same idea as a heatsink, but lower profile :)

ProMedias incorporate MOSFET circuitry. I believe that MOSFET amps, naturally, run a little cooler. (correct me if I'm completely wrong).

The Pro Media's use a digital amp similar to a class D amp, where as the Z560's use a A/B class amp. Digital amps are more efficient then conventional amp designs like class A, B, AB and therefore don?t out put as much heat
