Up for bidding comes an original 1968 Hemi Dart. OMG!!!

About 50 were made in order qualify for Stock and Super Stock drag racing classes.

They (its sister car is the 1968 Hemi cuda) are still the fastest production cars ever built for public sale.

At roughly $5000 new, this one at auction fetched $192,500 US.

OMG. That's a lot of money.

here is link for those who don't know what I am talking about: http://www.budgetperformance.com/articles/hemidart/

I missed that one, but my dad watched it.

They had a 55 chevy all done up. Was a hotrod magazine cover car back in 1994. it went for $67,500.

The second highest sale was another chrysler. A 1971 Cuda (not hemi) for $120,000 I think.

They had a GT40 going for more than $300,000 US.

I love watching those shows...you see some of the classiest and rarest cars...along with some of the most random, like this Volvo wartime ute that went for like 90K
