ok, so this is more of a rant than anything.
suddenly my computer reboots, comes back and my whole identity is gone (winxppro) anyone else find that this program is crap? Sure it get's rid of my spyware, but it's not worth it if it's wrecking my setup.

That sounds pretty messed.. I'd be pissed off... stupid XP spyware auto reboot mechanism...

hehe

I haven't had any problems with AA6...but I've heard from multiple sources that SpyBot is better..so I'll probably be switching over.

I dunno, my iBook stays pretty spyware free.

It also depends on what you install.. lay off the crap programs and you shant have a problem.. (I've never scanned, I am confident there is nothing bad on my system)

Same here... I never visit p0rn sites but everytime I scan with ad-aware 10 or so tracking cookies come up... no big deal, I periodically delete all my cookies anyways...

spybot is better and free

Spybot is NOT better, if anything its MORE dangerous to use IF you dont know what to and not to delete.

I havent had a problem yet with AA6. I run it on WinME, Win2000Pro and WinXP pro.

Ditto. I run AA6 (and 5 before that) and haven't had a single prob. I've used AA on both NT and W2K boxes.

You like the little gray progess bar in 5, don't you? I miss it too. But, newer is better, you know! 😀

Well as the saying goes...

Make new friends, but keep the old. One is silver and the other's gold.

I don't deal well with change. 🙁
