I didn't have prepared food and I didn't feel like making any, so I threw in 750ml of cottage cheese, about 3 or 4 roasted red peppers, 2 roasted habaneros, 40 black olives and some salt and paprika. Turned out to be one hell of a dip, especially when pared with the fresh naan bread I had.

Highly recommended!

sounds awesome! We just made some pesto from our own basil and herbs. Love me the food processor.

No garlic?

Mortar and pestle. It's a semi-emulsion so you can very finely chop everything and then do the emulsion from there. FINELY chop as in the size of a BB or smaller. Press the garlic or run it over a grater.

Here's a quick pic: http://mld.dreamhosters.com/dip.jpg

I also forgot that I added a cube of feta cheese at the end, to add some tang and solidity. As an added bonus, it probably has around 1 calorie/gram, so it's about 2.5x less caloric than stuff like ranch dips.

Looks pretty good and pretty healthy at the same time. Where'd you get the roasted peppers?

Sounds good. I might try a variation of this with naga jolokias, olive oil, and garbanzos. Also have some fresh garlic, but have to wait on the nagas to grow.

I'm gonna have to add a *confirmed* to this - it is quite good. I gave some to my friend and she could not stop moaning while eating it, heh.

I roasted the peppers myself - I put them directly on the burner, then rotate them once their skin turns black. Afterwards I put then in a container and pour some oil so they keep. I like them more than the store-brought ones preserved in water.
