And I witness two things.

1) A girl spends two hours scrolling around on some Asian imageblog thing, looking at various pictures and drawings from Inuyasha, Pokemon, Sailor Moon, etc. I can tell from a semi-profile that she occasionally smiles at the pictures. No one comments negatively (and probably dozens of nerdy dudes wish they had the balls to approach her).

2) A guy spends ~five hours with one of those electronic notepad things, creating a legitimately great picture of Pinkie Pie. Like, worthy of my MLP folder good. One guy goes up to him and says "Dude, seriously?", and some girl approaches his for a moment and quickly leaves. While I lacked the balls to compliment him for a srsly good piece of fan art, I bet that many men would have chastised him and women found him unappealing.

Why is society so one-sided and sexist against men?

(Both of these things truly happened yesterday, btw, this isn't a hypothetical scenario or anything.)

I think you are conflicted.

I see a cohesive order of general prejudice/shunning in your two examples.

(Situation 1: it is merely your assumption that 'no man had the balls to approach the girl.' Rather, No man wanted to approach a chick drawing shitty children's cartoons.)

Besides that just being odd to do in a computer lab what was against gender norms about 1? None of them were really that biased towards either gender. (if you were to have actually watched them)
And nearly anyone doing 2 would have caught flak for it, the girl in 1 included. :p

Pinkie Pie
You just forced me to google to know wtf you're talking about, and you know what? Therein lies the answer.

As a demonstration:

I too had to Google Pinkie Pie, maybe they weren't clowning him because he was drawing an obviously gay thing. But because he spent 5 hours drawing a simple looking pony. I don't see how you could possibly spend 5 hours drawing something like that.

The girl wasn't drawing pictures. She was simply looking at them on a forum. At the very least, the dude had creative skills. And it wasn't just a simple sketch of an image like the above either; it looked quite detailed, and I only could see it walking by, so for all I knew, he had created multiple.

I'm pretty sure that nerdy men would go as far as to lie about liking MLP if they saw a hawt chick drawing pony art tbh.

People hang out in computer labs to surf the web and draw pictures?

Sounds like my school's labs, but quieter and with a lot less Warcraft III. No one plays Counterstrike anymore, but Warcraft is timeless for some reason.

If Leonardo da vinci himself came back to life and drew Pinkie Pie I would make fun of him.
