So I was in a wreck yesterday.....

And Now Im sore as crap this morning, My friggin neck hurts so my mom said I need to go to the Chiropractor......

I met my friend at his house yesterday, because we work at the same place and were going to ride togather as we always do and grab a bite to eat before work.

We left his house riding in his car, not mine, and went down his road. Im not sure how fast he was going, I know he does tend to go fast though.... Well anyway we went around this sharp curve, he didnt loose control or anything because of his speed, but a car pulled out of an intersection in the middle of the road. The curve is sharp/uphill so its hard to see if traffics coming, and with him speeding probally it made it even harder to see for these people.

Well they pulled out right in front of us, probally about 25 feet or so, and I guess my friend thought that he was going to hit them so he punched the brakes, and his tires are BALD, his front tires are like racing slicks....

, he knows it and want get them replaced, although he will now...

Well his car started to slide and went went into the ditch beside the road and slide and took out a mailbox and then hit the ditch to the road that the people pulled out of, and his car went airborne, and kinda rolled around in the air but landed flat, and when it landed everything came out of the glovebox and hit me in the head..... :|.

We are both ok, and the people in the other car are fine, but it was a SCARY experiance..

His car was a 2000 Firebird, it was nice, but not no more... Between the insurance company and the warrenty they are completly replacing the car.... So I guess thats good.

Well anyway thats my story for today, and It was a real experiance for me, not one I want to have again though.

After I look back on it though, I was lucky, It could have been A LOT worse, someone was looking out for me 🙂

1. Glad to hear that you're OK...it would just SO suck to die after putting all that work into your MAME Box. 😉
2. Your friend is an idiot
3. Common sense says "blind curve means slow down" <--he knows that now, I'll bet

So, did the other people get sited, or what? Any police report at all?

I think you're going to want x-rays and the like. I don't know if a chiropractor can order those.

I'm glad no one was hurt seriously.

That's a good example of why inexperienced drivers get into accidents. They rarely consider that their speed could make it impossible for someone to pull out of a side street safely. They may have never experienced suddenly coming up on a large piece of debris in the road, or someone walking across a street where you don't see pedestrians, or a disabled car stopped in the road.

There's a side street I have to pull out of every day on my way home from work. The main road is posted 30mph, and due to a hill and a curve you can't see very far. I am well aware that when I pull out, I need to punch it pretty good. Yet at least once a month there will be a car flying along about 45mph, well over the speed limit, which has to slam on the brakes to avoid T-boning me.

Yeah, who was did they say was at fault? I guess you guys has right-of-way from your description. Glad to hear that you are okay. Not that you will need to, but tell your friend to slow down. Speed kills.

Take some ibuprofen. It helps muscle pain by decreasing any inflamation. Dr. Scarpozzi has spoken.

Been there done that, was waiting on it to kick in this morning 🙂, I worked out for 4 horus the other day too and I was already sore and tense from that and getting tossed around in the car didnt help :|

The sad thing is, he is talking about getting an old 78 firebird now.... He was lucky that this hasent happened before now, His car handled really good, but with him going to something that old it will be a new experiance and he want be able to take the turns at half the speed he takes them at now, I just hope that he doesnt take it for granted..

And yes New driver + fast car = bad news.. I dont think any new driver should have a nice car, their parents should by them a POS like mine did, reliable but a POS, and let them get their own car, just like I did 😀....
