Not terribly. We talked on the phone from time to time and usually saw him whenever I was in western Washington. He had pretty bad paranoid schizophrenia, so it's sad to have lost him but nice that he now has found peace. The medications he was on robbed him of most any emotions. In my entire life I only recall hearing him laugh once.
