Now I'm having second thoughts. Is there any chance I'll not get 100's scam offers or a non-paying bidder on my first try? eBay seems to have really gone downhill...

I used to sell tons of stuff here and on HardOCP. Works much better than ebay and without the listing fees.

i just sold my Wii on Ebay recently.
I got a sort of scam email. it was more like some kind of advertisement than anything. i was expecting to be inundated with scam mails but that was the only one.

Yeah, I ebayed mine too. I didn't get any scam emails, in fact the transaction went perfectly (other than the ebay/PP fee rape).

I normally sell stuff here on FS/FT, but it wasn't allowed at the time.

I'm guessing yes, 'cause I bought my Wii off FS/FT. Much better experience than ebay. :thumbsup:

I was interested in getting a Wii after playing one at a friends house. What are they worth now a days? The local shops around here don't have a waiting list, it is just a first come first serve, so while I can wait, I am considering just going to a private seller.

Amazon user seller might be a good way to sell it, the lowest price there right now is $380(!) for a new unit.

Check their fees though, I vaguely recall Amazon raking off even more in fees than eBay.
